A specialist works on the economics and financial management of forestry plantations, including discussion of plantation income, yield calculations, and the economics of thinning.

Brown cloth binding with the publisher's green-and-brown printed dust jacket. The jacket is substantially worn, with rubbing, creasing, tears, and areas of loss, particularly at the spine ends, corners, and edges. Rear panel toned and soiled, with further loss at the lower corner. Jacket spine rubbed and chipped.

The exposed portions of the cloth binding show general age-related wear. Page edges are toned. A dated gift inscription in ink to the front free endpaper reads, ?Best Wishes from Edna + Charles. June 13/58.? An ownership/address label for K. L. Rawling, Otley, Yorkshire, is present on the front pastedown. The internal pages appear generally clean, with light age toning.
