Ecstatic Prophets, Compulsive Fascists

During the same ancient era that the Greeks were practicing democracy-with-slaves and their bands of storycrafters entertained people with Homer's and Sophocles' and Aeschylus' tales of war and valor, tales attempting to heal the tragic costs of war on soldiers and nations alike, tales hailing gods and goddesses seducing and fighting each other and humans...

a band of ecstatic-prophetic storycrafters from Ancient Israel & Palestine were the first to imagine democracy-without-slaves...these bordercrossers who were seduced by the One who gives us all life in the wind - YAHWEH - the One who invites a genderbending, bordercrossing, and often same-sex love that topples priestly, royalist, and hierarchical imaginations in 1 & 2 Samuel...

these tales of the ecstatic-prophets' wild and freeing ways of transforming deadly fascist impulses using a simple, often ignored ecstatic-experience to get us out of the rascally messes we've inherited and seem to build onto with every generation.

Authority minded people have been trying to hide this experience and these storycrafters from you and me. Where? In the best-selling gathering of books of all time, the Bible. Perhaps it's time we met these storycrafters with their bordercrossing imaginations, in their own style-rich voices...if you dare meet them and welcome such healing.
