About the Author

Dr. Daniel Araya is Lead Researcher in Leadership and Policy with the National Center for Professional & Research Ethics (NCPRE) at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign). He is also a Research Affiliate with the Martin Prosperity Institute at the University of Toronto. His newest books include: Smart Cities as Democratic Ecologies (2015), Rethinking U.S. Education Policy (2015), Higher Education in the Global Age (with Peter Marber) (2013), and Education in the Creative Economy (with Michael A Peters) (2010). He has a doctorate from the University of Illinois and is an alumnus of Singularity University's graduate program at the NASA Research Park in Silicon Valley.
