About this title

Synopsis

""The Education Question and the Liberal Party"" is a book written by Malcolm MacColl in 1902. The book explores the debate surrounding education in England during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, particularly the role of the Liberal Party in shaping educational policy. MacColl argues that the party's commitment to individual freedom and social progress necessitated a comprehensive and accessible system of education that would enable all citizens to participate fully in society. He also critiques the Conservative Party's approach to education, which he sees as elitist and focused on maintaining the status quo. The book provides a historical context for understanding the development of the English education system and its political implications. It is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of education, political history, or the role of political parties in shaping social policy. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
