The author is a Writer, Poet, Newspaper Publisher, and Community Activist. He was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico, but raised in New York City's Hudson Valley (108th Street and Columbus Avenue). Alberto has two daughters from his first marriage, giving him four grandkids (three girls, one boy (two from each one). At present, Alberto lives in Buffalo, NY where he publishes a monthly publication (Buffalo Latino Village) and heads the Puerto Rican Latino Committee (PRLC), a community activist group that works in cooperation with other activist organizations fighting against gentrification and discrimination.
Alberto is presently editing and getting ready to publish a book, "Voices from the Village", a collection of work by his columnists who write a monthly column for the Buffalo Latino Village. The book is scheduled for publication in August 2020
