George Robert Sims (1847 1922) was an English journalist, poet, dramatist, novelist and bon vivant. Sims began writing lively humour and satiric pieces for Fun magazine and The Referee, but he was soon concentrating on social reform, particularly the plight of the poor in London's slums. We are a cottage-based affair, located in a circa 1890 shingle-style cottage overlooking La Playa Cove near San Diego. When we aren't schellpping books and prints,or the occassional antique, we are out riding our bikes, trimming our trees, or having a perfectly lovely time in our garden.
