Synopsis
The present work revealed the destructive effects of ultraviolet radiation-A on the morphological, histological and biochemical characteristics of the early developmentalstages of Aafrican catfish, Clarias gariepinu (Burchell, 1822). These destructive effects were also studied on the developmental stages in terms of incubation time, hatching rate, mortality rate, morphological malformations and histopathological changes in some organs. The genotoxicity caused by UV-A was studied.
