The Effects of Nuclear Weapons: Department of the Army Pamphlet No. 39-3 (Computer Included), Revised Edition

Softcover, in Good condition, dated April 1962. Affixed to the interior of the back cover is a pouch which contains a "Nuclear Bomb Effects Computer", as well as a folded sheet titled "Nuclear Bomb Effects Computer, Revised Edition 1962, Based on Data from The Effects of Nuclear Weapons, Revised Edition". The computer itself is in great condition, but it appears the one of the plastic ribbons attaching the front clear plastic section to the back section is snapped and missing a ~1/4 inch section of plastic (see photos) - this could be likely be made functional quite easily with some tape, if these sections were indeed meant to be connected. Contains computer in back pouch. The cover is toned, tanned, and has some blemishing; erased pencil on top corner of front cover. Crease lines down spine. Cover bumped at corners and spine ends; spine ends rubbed and exposed in spots. Edges of text tanned. The text, photos and figures are clean and umarked. There's some toning/browning in the gutters on some pages (mostly towards the beginning of the textblock). There are some sections of the book with wider gutters where the text naturally wants to open to, intersparsed by sections with tighter gutters, but there's no signs of cracking or splitting in the binding, and overall it feels robust and well maintained. There's some waviness along the fore edges of the back cover and last few pages of text.…
