Electric Circuits& Studt Study Guide Pkg

Over a decade in print, Electric Circuits by Jim Nilsson has traveled through the circuits course with over 175,000 students. The overwhelming popularity of this text is largely the result of the author's unique ability to communicate the concepts of circuit design through the experience he gives students in his end-of-chapter problem sets. More than practice, practice, practice, the problems sets are carefully developed to nurture the student through the complex process of applying mathematics and analysis to circuit design. As educators are now moving to empower students with the computational resources of the computer and to challenge them with the issues of design, co-author Susan Riedel has contributed two chapters on design in active filters and two new alternative supplements, Using Computer Tools for Electric Circuits, and Introduction to PSpice. Both the main text and new supplements -- which are free to students -- promote the encounter with design alongside traditional problems of analysis.

Provides a superior pedagogy in the worked examples that are skillfully-developed to accomplish specific learning objectives as outlined in the Instructor's Manual. Delivers 600 New Problems! 70% of the end-of-chapter problems are new or revised. Gives students an experience of design with electric circuits in two new chapters on active filters and with design problems, examples, and applications integrated throughout the text and the free computer supplement. Includes a free computer supplement, Using Computer Tools for Electric Circuits that encourages students to use the computer tools at hand to do their homework. Delivers six new real-world motivating examples -- called "Practical Perspectives"-- that show how the concepts of the chapter are applied in the design of everyday devices.
