Contains diagrams and in-text black and white photos. Pages are moderately tanned and occasionally foxed throughout. End-papers are more notably tanned. Pages 179 to 192 have been ripped and creased at the bottom edge. Text unaffected. Cracking to hinges, no damage to end-papers. Some occasional moderate to heavy cracking to gutters throughout, exposing binding material, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge wear with rubbing to surfaces. Moderate crushing to spine ends, with fraying cloth and small splits. Board corners are bumped, with some loss to board covering. Gilt lettering has become dull. Boards have minor damp and dust stains.
