Electricity: Current & Static

Let the current flow and watch faces light up, as students take part in a variety of activities designed to unveil the mysteries of electricity. This award-winning volume gets students involved hands-on with activities that explore these concepts: What is electricity? What is static electricity? What is a switch? bulbs, batteries, wires, testing circuits, and conductors and insulators.

Other activities: How does a switch work?, experimenting with static electricity, safety with current electricity, Where does electricity come from?, and more. Skills challenged include: predicting, observing, recording, following directions, cooperating, and critical thinking.

Everything's here to help you make each project a success -- organizational procedures, required and optional materials lists (readily available), teaching suggestions, and complete, step-by-step directions for all projects.

Also features a two-sided, full-color (one side) pull-out poster with an Is It a Complete Circuit game on one side and Safety with Current Electricity on the other side. Illustrated throughout with helpful line art as well as fun recurring "mouse" characters. All 16 pages perforated for easy removal.
