Electron Scattering from Complex Nuclei - Part A

467 Pages Plus 9 Page Subject Index. Blue cloth with gold spine and cover lettering with decorations. Owner's first name and date Dec, 1975 on front endpaper. An otherwise fine, tight bright book with a faultless interiror. Please NOTE this is Part A of a Two Part book. The exploration of the shapes of atomic nuclei by means of elastic electron scattering began in the 1950s and the exploration of nuclear levels by inelastic electron scattering began in the 1960s. During that short period, enormous porogress was made and the electron scattering technieuq has surpassed all other methods for the study of nuclear structure in accuracy, versatility, and in ease of interpretation. Contents of Part A in Five Chapters: Introduction, BFasic Electron Scattering Theory and Low-Energy Experiments, Elastic Electron Scattering from Extended Nuclei, Theory of Electron Scattering Cross Section, and Modern Elastic Scattering Results. Plus Preface, Contents of Part B (Seperate Book ), List of Symbfols, Review Articles and Books, and References. Part B Contents in Three Chapters: :Inelastic Electron Scatteering, Scattering to the Continuum, and Spoecial Topics. Part B Book Also Includes Three Appendices, Review Articles and Books, References and Subject Index. …
