Der luth. Theologe u. Jurist Johann Gottlieb Heineccius (1681-1741) wandte sich nach dem Theologiestudium in Leipzig 1703 unter Samuel Stryk und Christian Thomasius dem Jurastudium zu. 1708 wurde er Adjunkt der Philosophischen Fakultät, 1713 o.Prof. der Philosophie und 1716 zum Dr. jur. promoviert. 1720 a.o.Prof., wurde Heineccius 1721 o.Prof. der Rechte, Assessor und Hofrat. Seit 1723 in Franeker, erhielt er 1725 einen Lehrstuhl in Frankfurt/Oder, wo er 1731 zum Geheimrat ernannt wurde. 1733 folgte er einem Ruf an die Univ. Halle, wo er Vorlesungen über Hugo Grotius und Samuel Pufendorf hielt und ein eigenes Naturrechtssystem entwickelte. - Einband etw. berieben u. bestoßen. Tlw. zeitgen. Marginalien.
