Item description from seller

box, book and all cards included, minor wear to the box, a nice set, inquire for photos. --- 128 pages. Caroline Smith and John Astrop's companion book to their 78-card deck, which follows the standard tarot structure but drops the traditional suits of wands, cups, swords and pentacles. The four minor suits stand directly for Fire, Earth, Air and Water, and the 22 major arcana belong to Spirit. Several trumps are renamed: the Magician becomes the Trickster, the High Priestess the Virgin, the Wheel of Fortune Fate, and the Lovers Choice. Each card carries astrological symbols and a keyword. The major arcana add lines of verse, and the minor arcana add a god or goddess and Egyptian words. The text gives each card a description and a reading meaning, and includes quick-reference keys, a table of the Egyptian terms, number meanings, card layouts and sample readings. The authors do not use reversed cards and explain why.

Store description

Fox & Tome Books is an independent online bookshop based in Frederick, Maryland, with 13 years in the trade. The store is not huge but runs wide categorically: history, military, art, photography, science and medicine, religious studies of all faiths, occult, scholarship and reference, signed copies, first editions, the scarce and out-of-print. Don’t forget the esoteric hodgepodge/occasional risqué title. Every book is hand inspected, accurately described and shipped with care. Please inquire about any item for details or additional photos. Thanks. -Brandon…
