About the Author

His other publications include Mathematics: A Human Endeavor; Geometry: Seeing, Doing, Understanding and articles for The Mathematics Teacher and the Encyclopedia Britannica. Mr. Jacobs has received the Most Outstanding High School Mathematics Teacher in Los Angeles award, the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching, and was featured in the book 101 Careers In Mathematics published by the Mathematical Association of America.
