Add to basketPHYSICS ELEMENTARY LESSONS IN HEAT, LIGHT, & SOUND BY D.E. JONES MACMILLAN 1909 VG. I am still trying to list some of my more recently acquired vintage technology books which, despite their appeal to me, have to find new homes. Hope this one might be yours; to wit: Elementary Lessons in Heat, Light, & Sound, by D.E. Jones, lately Professor of Physics in the University College of Wales. This small hard cover book (4 ¾ x 7 inches, 282 pages plus one page of adverts by the same author/publisher) was published by Macmillan and Co. Limited of London, dated 1909. The book is bound in red covers with black titles on cover and spine. The book is very well illustrated with many figures in each chapter, many showing instruments and devices of the science of physics of the times. Condition: This book is in very good condition, especially considering its age. The hard covers have some light soiling, ink drips on cover and gutter and a bit sunned or otherwise faded. They are barely bumped, however, and thus quite presentable. Inside, there are some marks from a former owner on the front endpaper but otherwise, the interior of the book is clean with nary a blemish. Both hinges are fully intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
