Dj preserved in mylar, shelf worn, corners and spine ends chipped, 1" triangular tear and 1/4" open tear (taped), both to lower edge of front. An abbreviated and simplified version of "Introduction to Solid State Physics," designed for one semester graduate courses for students of engineering, chemistry, and physics, drawing freely on the background provided by the usual semester course in atomic physics. 339 pages, including appendix and index.
