Grund, Carter, Hendee and Co., Boston, 1833, 384 pp, original leather, 8 x 5 , 8vo. In fair condition. Heavy wear along extremities with scuffing along edges and corners. Staining and abrasions to surface of leather. Front board is tender with cracking at joints. Spine abraded with heavy creasing and loss at tail. Blue binding is exposed. Rear board peeling at bottom edge. H. Gage No. 25 written in old hand on the fly. H. Gage s Book Lowell (Mass.) dated Nov. 13, 1835 on the second end page. Horace Gage has been stamped three times on the title page. Light toning and heavier foxing throughout. Scattered age stains consistently through text block. Binding remains intact.
