the Sixth Edition and the third by Charles Brooke, amended and greatly enlarged (851 pages) bound in original quarter leather and marbled end papers. there are 2 gift plates in the front made out to Robert Eccles for the 'Queen's prize' for 1867.there is foxing and age related marks and small nicks. the boards are rather worn but not excessively so and the binding is excellent. raised bands and gold gilt to the spine. a handsome volume!
