The Elements of Plane and Solid Geometry : With Chapters on Mensuration and Modern Geometry (Classic Reprint)

Master geometry from fundamentals to modern ideas in one trusted, growing guide.

This elementary to college‑level geometry text builds from simple definitions and axioms to essential theorems and problems. It emphasizes reasoning from first principles, practical construction, and clear demonstrations. The book blends plane and solid geometry with mensuration and an introduction to modern geometry, offering a connected path through topics, exercises, and worked examples.

The work is organized in three parts, with built‑in practice: Part I covers plane geometry; Part II presents solid geometry and mensuration rules; Part III introduces modern geometry ideas. It includes rules for measuring plane and solid figures, numerous exercises, and guidance on applying ideas to real problems. The approach aims to help learners build confidence and skill as they progress.

• Clear definitions and terminology that grow with the topics
• Step‑by‑step constructions and logical proofs linked to each concept
• Worked examples and end‑of‑section exercises for independent practice
• Guidance on mensuration, descriptions of geometric solids, and modern geometry notions

Ideal for readers seeking a solid foundation in geometry, plus a bridge to more advanced topics in math and design.
