In fair condition. Extremities moderately worn with scuffing and light abrasions. Some soiling to boards overall. Spine faded with creasing and soiling. Extremes frayed/chipped. Old hand ownership on front pastedown. Interior in as-is condition. Severe foxing throughout with old dampness staining. A few instances of worming. Free of markings. Plates in good working order. Binding intact. Please see photos. Jacob Bigelow (1787-1839) was an American physician, botanist and botanical illustrator. He was architect of Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts, husband to Mary Scollay, and the father of physician Henry Jacob Bigelow.
