Hogan / Philadelphia; Hogan & Co. / Pittsburgh. Complete set in two volumes. Full leather binding with gilt lettering on the spines. "With Notes and Additions Adapted to the Practice of the United States by Nathaniel Potter and S. Colhoun." The set is an early 19th-century medical textbook designed for students and junior practitioners to bridge the gap between abstract medical pathology and real-world clinical care. The work synthesizes the medical knowledge, disease classifications, and treatment methodologies of the era. Condition:
Some peeling of the leather on the covers. The volume II front cover has some stains at the bottom half. Bright gilt lettering on the spines. Both volumes are tightly bound with no cracks and no loose pages. All covers are firmly attached. Mild foxing to the pages, though a bit heavier on the first few and last few pages within both volumes. Each front pastedown has an old bookplate affixed. The back of each title page has an ink library stamp dated 1888. The back of the title page in volume II also has old pencil handwriting at the top of the page. Old label affixed to the bottom of the spines. Overall the set is in Good condition.
