An intriguing hybrid, Elway, a coffee-table tribute to one of football's most exciting quarterbacks, is part autobiography, part photographic celebration, and all MTV packaging; like an Elway comeback drive, it moves quickly and is filled with exuberance. The pictures, especially of the Bronco's Super Bowl XXXII upset of the heavily favored Packers, are stunning, and if Elway gets to offer his share of clich&eactue;s and life philosophies well protected from the onslaught of any editorial blitz, it's the images that are the heroes here; the words, like pulling guards, exist only to move things forward without drawing much attention to themselves. --Jeff Silverman
