Embrace

Preface by Yukio Mishima. A triumph of design and artistic conception, printed in luscious charcoal gravure. Fine in a fine jacket and fine publisher's slipcase with the scarce bellyband present (tiny tear). A beautiful copy of one of the most sensual photography books ever produced in Japan. This is the first publication entirely devoted to Moriyama's work. Images are violent and dark. Deeply influenced by William Klein's "New York", Moriyama transforms texture, contrast, deformation, the accidental and abstraction into a new visual language representative of "Provoke".
