Embroidered Treasures: Flowers: Exquisite needlework of the Embroiderers' Guild Collection

This fantastic book showcases the Embroiderers’ Guild’s huge collection of embroidered flowers through the ages. Featuring photographs taken especially for the book, items are shown in full and also with detail images to show off the flowers at their best. These wonderful embroidered treasures are as varied as wall hangings, children’s dresses, bridal bags and samplers, some of which date back to the seventeenth century. The images are shown with extended captions giving the country of origin, age, size and technique used to make them. Hailing from countries such as China, Japan, North America, Spain, Greece, Italy, Turkey, Norway and Switzerland, this is an opportunity to see fabulous works that are very rarely seen in public.

Annette Collinge is a life member of The Embroiderers' Guild, has been a Branch Chairman, Regional Chairman and Trustee of the Guild, and she is currently the Collection Manager.
