About the Author
Dr. Raj Selladurai is an Associate Professor of Management in the School of Business and Economics at Indiana University Northwest. He also serves as Small Business Institute (SBI) Director for the School of Business and Economics. His research focuses on the areas of servant leadership, leadership effectiveness, operations and supply chain management, high-speed rail and supply chain management, and business-healthcare collaboration. He has published several papers, chapters, and case studies in various management and operations management related business publications and journals including co-editing a book on Servant Leadership: Research and Practice. He has over 27 years of academic and professional business experience including participating at the recent ""Servant Leadership: Path to High Performance"" Executive Education Seminar at the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia. He has also taught business management courses as Visiting Professor at universities in Austria and Switzerland. He has diverse leadership and administrative experience in various organizations including church, Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), university, community, business, and other professional service organizations.
Peggy Daniels Lee received her PhD from the George Washington University. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management and Faculty Chair for Undergraduate Programs at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, Indianapolis. Dr. Lee also holds a graduate certificate in Project Management and an Advanced Online Teaching Certificate from the Online Learning Consortium (formerly the Sloan Consortium). She teaches Operations Management and Sourcing at the undergraduate and graduate levels in face-to-face and online environments. Since 2007, Dr. Lee has done research and taught using 3-dimensional virtual worlds. Her work in this space has been presented at the Academy of Management, the Decision Sciences Institute, the Second Life Community Convention, the International Workshop on Enterprise, Organizational Modeling and Simulation (EOMAS), the Indiana University Center for Teaching and Learning, the virtual community Teach for Success, and many other organizations and venues. Her article in the Journal of Virtual Worlds Research is one of few that established the impact of virtual worlds on learning outcomes. Dr. Lee is also a section editor of the online Journal of Virtual Studies. She has published in such outlets as the Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, the Journal of Virtual Worlds Research, the Journal of Healthcare Management, and Supply Chain Forum, published by the University of Lausanne. In addition to her doctorate, Dr. Lee holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Mr. George VandeWerken is Regional President of Providence Bank & Trust in the Chicago metro area. In addition to a lifelong career in community banking, George has also maintained an interest in public transportation, especially matters relating to rail service, and he currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Passenger Rail Alliance.
