Synopsis
A stone-faced neurosurgeon entered the conference room and matter-of-factly delivered the news. With a few words, he shattered our hope. Fifty percent of children with medulloblastoma survived five years and of those, not all were tumor free. Faced with this grim prognosis, we began the fight for our daughter’s life. I longed for the encouragement of a survivor who lived fully after this devastating diagnosis. Emerging from the Crucible shares one family’s story of adversity – fear – faith – struggle – suffering – hope – survival – celebration of life. Be encouraged! There is life after the diagnosis of cancer. God continues to work in and through our lives. He uses the agonizing situations in our life to refine us and shape us to be all He created us to be.
