When Bear falls at Emily's feet, she is determined to get him back where he belongs. But Gravity keeps pulling Bear straight back down. So, Emily makes it her mission to defy Gravity and make the impossible, possible! She tries balancing him on a see saw, making him a pair of wings and even launching him into the air with a catapult. But how will she get him to stay in the sky?

Isabel Thomas studied Human Sciences at the University of Oxford. She is a science writer and children's author who has been shortlisted for the Royal Society Young People's Book Prize, the ASE Science Book of the Year, and the Blue Peter Book Awards. Isabel also writes for children's science magazines Whizz Pop Bang and The Week Junior Science + Nature, and for science outreach projects. She is a primary school governor and parent of three young sons.

Rosalind Beardshaw has illustrated many books for children. These include the award-winning Lulu series and the National Trust's A Walk in the Countryside series. She lives in York with her family.
