Large octavo. No date but pencil ownership inscription reads 1913. 384pp. Colour frontis plus 6 other colour plates and 16 black and white illustrations. Brown pictorial cloth titles gilt, showing girl with bicycle on spine and young woman in naval outfit leaning against ships railings on front. Shelf rubbing to ends of spine and corners, neat pencil ownership inscription on front free endpaper, some foxing to page edges and scattered in text.
