Also acting as the Secretary of South Asia Foundation Bangladesh Chapter. Before joining SDNP he worked as the Director, Computer Division, Bangladesh Open University. He has written several books and many articles/papers on computer education for the informal sector and distance education. He is the Founder-Chairperson of Internet Society Bangladesh Chapter; Editor, the Monthly Computer Bichitra; Founder-Principal and Member Secretary, ICMS Computer College; Head Examiner (Computer), Bangladesh Technical Education Board; Executive Director, BAERIN (Bangladesh Advanced Education Research and Information Network) Foundation; and involved in activities related to establishment of a IT based distance education university in Bangladesh.
