Enchanted Cliffs

Fleeing a homeland ravaged by monstrous Dragons, Tara Suryapur arrives in the glittering city of Eleutheria with only a single bag of belongings and a deep-seated terror of the very creatures she now sees walking the streets as citizens in fine clothes.

Lost, traumatized, and unable to speak the language, her hope for a safe haven shatters when a violent misunderstanding with the city guard lands her with an unusual sentencing of forced apprenticeship under her worst nightmare—a towering Dragon blacksmith named Cayden, with a personality as fiery as his forge and a notorious reputation.

Forced to live and work under his roof, Tara must navigate her crippling trauma while contending with the infuriating paradox of her keeper. Known as the market’s biggest slut with a revolving door of women yet a grumpy, reclusive craftsman, he pushes her away with harsh words and an unspoken list of rules designed to keep everyone at arm’s length: no marks, no kisses, no attachments. Yet, he protects her with a fierce, possessive kindness that chips away at her defenses and speaks loudly what that he never utters.

In the heat of the forge, an undeniable and dangerous attraction ignites, and Cayden finds his carefully constructed world thrown into chaos by her intoxicating scent. As Tara’s own secrets begin to surface, from her mysterious fireproof nature to a past she can barely remember, she discovers new freedoms and desires she never knew she had. With time Tara finds herself drawn into the orbit of the man scarred by a darkness of his own and, as a man who famously “doesn’t do relationships,” Cayden finds himself starting to break his cardinal rules.

Surrounded by a meddling found family of gossiping friends and the kingdom’s most powerful royals who delight in their tension and see the sparks flying, Tara and Cayden must confront their combustible chemistry. But, can Tara overcome a lifetime of fear to trust the man with a terrible darkness staining his skin?
