About the Author
Stacey Weber-Fève is Morrill Professor of French and World Film Studies at Iowa State University. She is a specialist of French cinema and has published books and articles on women’s filmmaking, life writing, and cinematic comedy. An award-winning teacher dedicated to "bridging the gap" between "language teachers" and "literature professors," she has also published and presented on the teaching of the French language, culture, literature, and film through integrated approaches and input-to-output processes at all levels of the foreign language curriculum. She is co-author of the textbooks, LIAISONS (Cengage, 2013, 2017, 2020) and ENCORE (Cengage, 2018, 2020). She is also a recipient of ACTFL’s Nelson Brooks award (2015) and Excellence in World Language Instruction Using Technology award (2025) and a recipient of AATF’s Dorothy Ludwig Excellence in Teaching Award (2017).
Anne Lair is a Professor/Lecturer of French at the University of Utah, where she directs the French Basic Language Program, and collaborates with the Second Language Teaching and Research Center (L2TReC). She serves as French Bridge Curriculum Director and State French Coordinator. Previously, she was French Dual Language Immersion Coordinator and later Secondary French DLI Coordinator. She has led workshops across Utah and nationwide, earning recognition including the ACTFL Nelson Brooks Award (2012), Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Academiques (2017), and AATF Dorothy Ludwig Award (2020). She has published articles on food symbolism in Europe and co-authored Invitation au monde francophone, Liaisons (3rd edition) and Encore. She is President of the Alliance Française of Salt Lake City and Honorary Consul of France in Utah.
Bill VanPatten is Professor of Second Language Studies at Michigan State University where he also directs the Spanish and French language programs. An international scholar with numerous awards for research, leadership, and teaching, Professor VanPatten is known not only for his work on theory and research in second language acquisition but also for the implications of second language research for language teaching.

Terms of sale
If you would like to return your purchase, you can do so by sending the order back to us at the address below. Our return policy is as follows:
Full refunds will be given for books that arrive damaged, not as described, incorrect item shipped, or items lost in transit. If you ordered by mistake or no longer need the book, you can request a return within 30 days of the estimated delivery date and, upon receiving your return, we will issue a 85% refund of the book (the remaining 15% covers our shipping and reshelving). Return shipping will be at your expense.
Returned orders must be in the same condition as when purchased with the exception of books that are damaged in transit. Returns due to books arriving damaged, not as described or incorrect item shipped will recieve a pre-paid shipping label to return the book. As soon as the product arrives in our warehouse, we will issue a full refund plus the original shipping.
For books that arrive damaged, not as described, incorrect item shipped, or lost in tranist, if you would like a replacement rather than a refund, please let us know and if we have more copies in stock we will ship a replacement copy free of charge. We may still send you a pre-paid shipping label to return the original book.
All returns, regardless of payment method, are subject to the return policies as outlined above, and must be processed via the AbeBooks online system.

We will ship all items within 2-3 business days from our Pomona, California warehouse. We typically ship via USPS for standard orders. Larger orders ship via UPS.
