Number 17 in UK publisher Aldus Books' "Encyclopedia of Discovery and Exploration". This volume covers space exploration from its historic roots through the first moon landing, and projecting beyond. Lavishly illustrated with color and black-and-white photographs and diagrams. This copy is in near fine condition, marred only by very light bumps at top and bottom of spine and on back top corner. Binding is sound and square. Picture board covers are bright (neither faded nor toned), unmarked and otherwise unworn, with bright gilt titles on the blue cloth spine. Pages are unmarked and unworn. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its proud new owner in the same condition as my description. Note: shipment outside the USA will require additional postage for this heavy (nearly 2 pound) book.

All shipments will be via US Postal Service unless requested otherwise. Standard shipping within the USA will be via USPS Media Mail. Priority shipping within the USA will be via USPS First Class Mail.
My current Standard shipping rate within the USA is US$4.00 for the first book, and US$2.00 for additional books in the same order.
There are two situations where I will refund to the buyer a portion of the postage charged by ABEBOOKS: (1) Separate orders placed on the same date for shipment to the same address will be shipped together, so I will refund half of the postage paid for the first book in each such second and subsequent order. And (2) Books described as "paperbacks" in my descriptions weigh less than other books, so I will refund US$1.00 of the paid shipping fee for the 2nd and subsequent paperbacks in the same order shipping to the same address.
