The Encyclopedia of the Opera is the first book of its kind in any language. The Editor has attempted to make it a comprehensive source book about opera and opera performances. It is not exclusively a book of opera plots; or a book of biographies of composers and performers; or a history of opera. The opera lover will find within this volume the following materials: Stories of Operas; Characters of Operas; Characters of Operas; Excerpts from Operas; Biographies; History of Opera; Opera in Performance; Literary Sources; Special Articles; Terms in Opera; and Pronunciation Guide. Some few pencil writing on the book but does not affect the book content. Please note the image in this listing is a stock photo and may not match the covers of the actual item.
