End Notes

End Notes by Rhonda L. Roberts is a heartfelt, funny, and deeply moving coming-of-age novel about identity, found family, and friendships that help you rebuild when life knocks you out of tune.

Matthew Kellar has a plan for senior year: keep his head down, keep his seat in band, and let his tuba do the talking. Music is where he belongs. It is the one place where he feels steady, sure, and completely himself.

Then everything falls apart.

A humiliating spiral of bad luck, and one devastating event rips away the future Matthew thought he had earned. With his dreams suddenly out of reach, he is forced to face a terrifying question: if he can't be "the tuba guy," who is he?

As Matthew's world expands beyond the band room, he discovers that music isn't just something you play. When the moment comes that could break him for good, will Matthew learn what it really means to be successful, or will he give up his hopes and dreams once and for all?
