Synopsis

Earth, 2031: Alien contact.

Signals are received: a crude depiction of creatures pantomiming the cataclysmic destruction of the universe.

Soon after, scientists note unusual radiation emanating from an abandoned Earth-orbital observatory. When a group of scientists and astronauts board the observatory to investigate, they are taken prisoner. An unsuspecting Earth has just become part of a vast interstellar war.

For the human prisoners, this minor skirmish in a vast war becomes a fantastic adventure. The hunters become the hunted, the prey the predators, and nothing is as it seems. The only sure thing is that the winners will rule eternity at...The Other End of Time.

About the Author

Frederik Pohl has won all the major awards in the field of science fiction, including three Hugo Awards, two Nebula Awards, both for Best Novel; the John W. Campbell Memorial Award, also for Best Novel; he was accorded the accolade of Grand Master by the Science Fiction Writers of America. He's also won three Hugo awards as editor of the best magazine. He edited the groundbreaking Star Science Fiction series of original-story anthologies. He and his wife, educator and political activist Elizabeth Anne Hull, live in Palatine, Illinois.

We have in stock new, each year, a large collection of current year Calendars with 100s of titles and styles to choose from, always discounted. We buy and trade books and games whenever the store is open, and we are looking for material for every section. Store credit can be used on new and used material. We are interested in large purchases, such as collections and estate sales. We are particularly looking for gaming books, metaphysics, history, cooking, science, Pennsylvania history and children's books. We ship most orders within 1-3 business days. All orders ship via United States Postal Service.

Media Mail shipments within the U.S. typically arrive within 3 to 8 business days, however; shipments may take up to 3 to 5 weeks to arrive.

Deliveries to APO / FPO / DPO addresses as well as packages to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands can take 3 to 8 weeks to arrive.

Shipping Terms

Orders typically ship via U.S. Media Mail within two (2) business days. We base our shipping rates on the average costs of shipping plus materials. We do not try to profit from shipping, preferring to keep the customers costs down. Heavier items we may contact the buyer regarding additional shipping, particularly overseas.

We wrap our items in water-resistant paper or bubble wrap prior to packing. Larger items will be boxed, delicate items will be wrapped in added padding particularly to protect covers, spines and corners. Smaller to medium items are packaged in paper-padded envelopes then all seams sealed with packing tape.

Insurance is generally not included for items under $100. If you want added insurance, please contact us to make arrangements.
