End Times

This thriller, spanning six thousand years, begins with a warning from the future: “The world did not end December 21, 2012 CE. Rather, this was to be the beginning of the end.” What if all the known doomsday prophecies were wrong? What if there was a cache of true End Times Prophecies hidden away for millennia? What if these prophecies foretold a future for mankind which would shake the very foundations of every religion, economy, culture, and government? In the wrong hands, would the information contained in these End Times Prophecies hasten the collapse of civilization, or would it be used to enhance the time left on this planet for the human species? To answer these questions, an international team of scientists sets out from Dublin, Ireland in 2498 CE, to verify the existence of the End Times Prophecy cache, locate it, and evaluate its secrets to determine their effects on Humanity, which has just emerged from a mini-dark age triggered by the fizzled doomsday of 2012. Sergeant Deidre Byrne, assigned by the Irish Garda to protect the science team, quickly becomes the expedition leader. On a quest spanning the globe, she has to overcome multiple double-crosses, assassination plots, and running firefights with bandit mobs. Then she finds she must come to terms with a newly developed ability—she can now mind-speak with animals and a newly evolved sentient species which is predestined to rise and take dominion over the world.
