T. D. Griggs won second prize in the 2013 RUBERY INTERNATIONAL BOOK AWARDS
Clever, incisive, sharp as a well-honed blade, T.D. Griggs brings us another intricate, beautiful thriller. It's his people that make these great: deep, rich and characterful. Miss it at your peril! M. C. Scott, bestselling author of the Rome Series
DO YOU EVER REALLY KNOW THE ONE YOU LOVE?
Surgeon Michael Severin flies to disaster areas all over the world - floods, earthquakes, fires. He is good at his work, decisive, courageous and skilled - a natural rescuer.
He learns the cost of his successful life, however, only when he returns home early from an assignment to find his wife Caitlin dying from a brutal assault in their London home. His world shattered, Severin sets out to unravel the tangled skein of events which led to the tragedy.
He finds more questions than answers. Who is the strange young woman who comes to his home one night, knowing more than she ought to? Who was sending Caitlin childish pictures of a mysterious house in the woods?
In following these trails Michael Severin comes to know his dead wife as he never knew her in life. And he discovers that a man can be equal to any tragedy, except his own.

About the Author
T.D Griggs was born in London and has lived and worked on four continents. He holds British and Australian nationality and has worked variously as a truck driver, journalist, film extra, MD of a successful communications consultancy, and – for about seven sweaty hours – as a volunteer fire fighter. Despite that, much of the Australian bush survives.
He has written many short stories and three other novels, including the father-son drama The Warning Bell (written as Tom Macaulay) and - under his own name - the Victorian epic Distant Thunder and the international bestseller Redemption Blues.
T. D. Griggs is also a professional business writer with an international client base. He has degrees in English and archaeology, and now lives with his wife Jenny in Oxford, UK.

Store description
In 2002, World of Books Group was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. Since then, we've grown into to a global company pioneering the circular economy. Today, we drive the circular economy through three re-commerce brands: - Wob: Through Wob, we sell. We provide affordable, preloved books and media to customers all over the world. A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. - Ziffit: Through Ziffit, we buy. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
