Ending The Nightmare of PTSD (Paperback)

Paperback. The latest discoveries in neuroscience have led to a brief protocol to restore pre-trauma brain ability by 'resetting the fear switch' in the emotional center of the brain. In all but Complex PTSD cases, rapid stabilization of emotional targeted stimuli the rule rather than the exception. Personal stories of Veterans & civilians using this revolutionary new technique are included in many of the book's chapters. When we look at PTSD through a brain based model as opposed to that of a diagnosis, it becomes apparent that a number of brain events occur following trauma. For example, aside from the brain's emotional center becoming highly activated, the area in the front region of the brain where we do complex thinking, shuts down. In addition, it is highly unlikely for an individual to be capable of insight when frozen in a chronic state of fight, flight or freeze. With 20 Veterans taking their lives on a daily basis, we must do better than what has been previously offered. This book discusses a field tested intervention that can change these terrible statistics. Now is the time to make this happen.RESET Therapy builds on the pioneering work of Dr. Frank Lawlis; creator of the BAUD. His protocols for PTSD formed the basic foundation for the later emergence of RESET Therapy. From this perspective, we are forever grateful for his contributions to newly emerging psycho-therapeutic interventions based on solid neuro-scientific research. This item is printed on demand.
