Michael A. Stackpole is best known for his Star Wars and BattleTech books, garnering legions of fans in particular for his X-Wing series. He has a BA in history from the University of Vermont. From 1977 on, he worked as a designer of role-playing games for various gaming companies, and wrote dozens of magazine articles with limited distribution within the industry. His novella, "Remains of the Dead," is a continuation of his Star Tigers series, which was also featured in the novella "Out There" in Five by Five volume 1 from WordFire Press.

William F. Wu is a Chinese-American science fiction author. He published his first story in 1977. Since then, Wu has written thirteen published novels, one scholarly work, and a collection of short stories.
