This book explores the complex relationship between energy and development and discusses the core issues and concepts surrounding this growing area of research and policy.

Frauke Urban is Associate Professor in the management of sustainable energy systems at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, and a Research Associate at SOAS, University of London, UK. She is an environmental scientist with more than 15 years’ experience in research, teaching and publications related to energy, environment and development.
