About the Author
Francis M. Vanek, Ph.D., is a Senior Lecturer and Research Associate at Cornell University, where he specializes in energy efficiency, alternative energy, and energy for transportation. He is also an independent consultant on sustainable energy.
Louis D. Albright, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus of Biological and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University. He is a fellow of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers.
Largus T. Angenent, Ph.D., is a professor at the University of Tubingen. He specializes in converting organic biomass and waste materials into bio-energy.
Michael W. Ellis, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech. He specializes in sustainable energy systems with particular interests in energy systems for buildings and in porous materials for fuel and batteries. Dr. Ellis is a licensed professional engineer in Georgia and Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
David A. Dillard, Ph.D., is the Adhesive and Sealant Science Professor in the Biomedical Engineering and Mechanics Department at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He specializes in polymer and adhesive mechanics, performance, and durability issues.
Louis D. Albright, Ph.D., is Professor of Biological and Environmental Engineering and Stephen H. Weiss Presidential Fellow at Cornell University. A Fellow of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), he is the author of Environmental Control for Animals and Plants.
