THE ENGINEERING OF CREATION
Genesis is not a religious poem. It's a construction blueprint for the universe.
Set aside the sentimental readings. Forget the worn-out debate between six-day creationism and blind evolution. This book takes a different approach: reading Genesis 1 as a technical document written by the Engineer who designed time before matter existed to measure it.
What science describes as how, the Bible reveals as who, why, and what for.
DNA is not a chemical accident. It's source code with an author's signature.
In any other context, an information system with syntax, read logic, and self-replication capability demands a programmer. Why would DNA be the exception? Genetic similarities across species don't prove common descent through accumulated errors — they prove the reuse of the same framework by the same Designer.
Human beings are not simply more complex animals. We are the only creatures with three integrated dimensions: hardware (body), operating system (spirit), and software (soul).
That trichotomy explains what materialism cannot: why brain damage alters behavior without erasing identity, why consciousness cannot be reduced to chemistry, why genuine moral guilt exists, and why every human culture has reached for something transcendent.
The Engineer's time is not the clock on your wall.
A day as a thousand years, and a thousand years as a day. Einstein's relativity confirmed what the psalmist declared centuries earlier: time depends on the frame from which it is measured. The geological record measures from the extreme conditions of a primitive universe. Genesis describes from the perspective of the One standing outside the system. There is no contradiction — only two descriptions of the same building.
WHAT THIS BOOK DOES NOT DO:
- Recount creation day by day like a catechism
- Defend tradition for tradition's sake
- Shy away from questioning accepted ideas — even within Christianity
WHAT THIS BOOK DOES:
- Reads Genesis the way an engineer reads a blueprint, not the way a poet reads a myth
- Reveals why light appears before the sun — and what that means for understanding your calling
- Examines the six layers of Earth's atmosphere as a protection system installed before there was life to protect
- Shows that a seed carries the code to always grow upward — no matter how it is planted
- Identifies the minister as the moon: no light of its own, yet capable of lighting the darkest night when properly aligned
- Establishes that the seventh day has no closing formula — we are still living inside the Engineer's rest
- Declares that "It is finished" at the cross is the second announcement of completed work in all of history
Written for the reader who is not afraid to think, to question with rigor, and to discover that the Bible — when truly understood — does not weaken under analysis. It grows stronger.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Rev. Gamaliel I. Moore V. is a pastor, biblical analyst, and author of the Zarfat Collection. His pastoral training did not teach him what to believe — it taught him why. This book grew out of a verse-by-verse sermon series on Genesis 1, developed with an approach that does not confirm inherited assumptions but examines them, stress-tests them, and when necessary, takes them apart.
