The metaverse offers a new way of interacting with the world via immersive and interactive technologies. About the Author
Pethuru Raj is chief architect in the Edge AI division of Reliance Jio Platforms Ltd., Bangalore, India. He focuses on emerging technologies such as the metaverse, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) model optimization, big and streaming data analytics, blockchain, digital twins, cloud-native and edge computing, and 5G/6G. He has authored and edited 40+ books and contributed 40+ book chapters. He is a professional member of ACM.
Prasanna Kumar is senior VP (cloud ops) and chief data scientist (AI & data platform) at Business Optima, USA. His AI & ML technology solutions have been deployed in companies such as Apple, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon and Johnson & Johnson. He is the co-creator of the Pulse Engine and was the first to introduce multi-sentiment classification more than a decade ago, which is now prevalent in the industry. He is a member of the IET.
D.P. Sharma is a computer scientist and research adviser at the Department of Computer Science of MAISM, Rajasthan Technical University Kota, India. He has been on lien leave to serve foreign assignments since 2008. He is a disability rights activist involved in designing policies for inclusive internet access. He has actively participated in the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF) and presided over the sessions of Govt of India's IGF.
Kavita Saini is an associate professor at the School of Computing Science and Engineering, Galgotias University, India. Her research interests include web-based instructional system (WBIs), software engineering, blockchain and database. She has published several academic books. She is a member of the IEEE. She holds a PhD in web-based instructional systems from Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Rajasthan, India.
B. Narendra Kumar Rao is a professor in the School of Computing, Mohan Babu University, Tirupat, India. His research interests include software testing, embedded systems and machine learning. He was the convener for the International Conference on Data Analytics, and Intelligent Computing and Cyber Security. He has edited two conference proceedings. He received his PhD degree in CSE from Jawarharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India.
