Engineering Success

For Freshman or Introductory courses in Engineering.

Most engineering students arrive in college without the study and survival skills required to succeed at the university level. This text collects the very best techniques for succeeding in the study of engineering, presented in the context of actual undergraduate engineering courses. Students learn skills essential to building on previous knowledge, learning independently, and taking responsibility for their own learning. It introduces the engineering profession, discussing how universities prepare engineers for the real world and what to expect after graduation. The text not only encourages successful engineering students, it also enables instructors to be more effective engineering educators.
