48pp., with over 60 half-tone illustrations, colour frontispiece. Colour illustrated paper-covered boards with blue cloth backstrip. Extremities rubbed and bumped, edges nibbled and worn through in places, a few scuffs to boards, front board has faint striations, perhaps from being used to 'lean on', some grubbiness to back board. Browning to eps and page edges, clean internally. No date, perhaps 1920s, seems to be aimed at children. Chapters include 'Strange Train Travellers', 'A Trip in an Observation Car', 'Engine Numbers and Types', 'The Lights of the Line', 'Picking up Water', 'Inside a Signal-Box', 'Electric Engines and Electric Trains'.
