By James Stephen and printed in London by Richard Taylor. 1826, 68 pp, 8.25 x 5.25 , paper pamphlet. In as-is condition, with original green paper covers lost. Tears to top of title page. Text intact, but last page almost completely detached. Small inscriptions on front and back of title page, including a withdrawn stamp from the Yale University Library. General age-related toning to pages, along with edge wear to first and last pages. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce piece of British abolitionist history, written by James Stephen (1758-1832), a former Member of Parliament and leading abolitionist in the United Kingdom.
