1st. edition 36 volumes bound in 14 1790-1818. A former owner has rearranged the 36 volumes into 14. The classes are noted on the spines. 2,586 hand coloured plates counted, of a maximum of 2,592. Each plate has the appropriate leaf of text . There is no index, and the titles to first two vols, are amended from vols 11 and 12. There is some occasional light offsetting from text to plate, the top of the fifth volume has a chip, some very occasional marks, and foxing. A very nice example in a near contemporary half calf binding.
