A selection of essays by popular British essayists, in a lovely leather binding. Undated, dated using Copac. In a prize binding by Relfe Brothers Limited, London. Their binder's stamp is to the verso of front endpaper. Prize bookplate to the front pastedown, dated 1903, from Thetford Girls Grammer School. Compiled by Robert Cochrane. This work contains a variety of essays by popular authors such as Bacon, Thomas Fuller, Ben Jonson, William Cowper, Jonathan Swift, Richard Steele and more. In a full calf binding. With gilt stamping to the front board and to the spine. Externally, generally smart with light patches of rubbing to the joints and to the extremities. Marks to he boards. Small loss to the tail of spine due to rubbing. Prize bookplate to the front pastedown from Thetford Girls' Grammar School dated 1903. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age toned to edges with spots to the first and last few pages and the odd spot throughout. Very Good Indeed. Seller Inventory # LTH26-G-1
