Partly erased ownership inscription dated 1808 with the surname Turberville still legible. Later reprint of one of the most popular & reprinted books of the early 19th century. Lindley Murray [ 1745 - 1826 ] an American Quaker who moved to York, England & began writing English grammars & textbooks once in England.
